High shouldered LB bowl with 5 deep and distinct furrows on the shoulder, likely applied with a comb tool. While the majority of the vessel is very well preserved, one quarter of the progile has been significantly abraded on both the interior and exterior surfaces, and is now mostly covered with gypsum, after restoration. The exterior may have been completely polished at one time, but now polish only remains abrove the b/s transition, where polish marks are particularly visible on the neck. Below the exterior shoulder, the vessel is more abraded, weathered, and mottled with Light Yellowish Brown. The interior surface is smoothed, but significant amounts coarse and very coarse sand perforate the surface. There are also numerous fabric or chaff impressions, long spindly shapes, visible on the interior surface. Both the internal and external surfaces feature pyrite perforations. Circumferential rotational striations and or coil boudaries are visible on the interior surface--some of the sherd breaks actually follow them. Perhaps a coil-built pot--rim is also rather asymmetrical circle profile. 30% light yellowish brown corrosion visible on both surfaces. Coded w/AFG.
