Designated MAE1740--radiographed, XRF
Undecorated rim sherd from from a large LM jar, it is r/s here. The exterior appears to have been highly polished at some point, with significant amounts of it now abraded off. A large spall is present on the superior rim surface, as well as several pre-firing perpendicular incisions. Dense circumferential rotational striations are visible both surface. In addition to the coarse sand, moderate frequencies of medium and very coarse sand particles, and limited frequencies of medium sand, are visible in the fabric. Moderate frequencies of inclusions perforate all surfaces. On the interior, this has left several crack and/or interruptions of the smoothed surface. Breaks are hackley.
