Designated MAE1748--radiographed, XRF
Fragment from an LB bowl, probably around 20 cm in rim diameter, but only a tiny portion of the rim is preserved here. Sherd is r/s. The decorative schema consists of two incised, circumferential furrows framing a taller register of way comb lines. The furrows measure between 0.2 and 0.25 cm in width and the intervening register is 1.798 cm tall. It contains approx. 4 wavy comb lines, although concretion and the lack of more than one wave period make it difficult to confirm their number and frequency. Dense circumferential rotational striations are visible both surfaces. The exterior surface is 40% covered in light brown concretion, only limited amounts on the interior surface. In addition to the medium sand, significant frequencies of fine sand are visible in the fabric. Moderate frequencies of inclusions perforate both surfaces. Breaks are rough.
