Shoulder fragment from a small LB vessel. The decorative schema consists of a single application of circumferential comb-incised lines—3 lines visible, likely continuing superiorly on the shoulder—followed by oblique and vertical polish decorations on the lower shoulder that sit on a horizontal polish boundary. The comb lines average 0.18 cm in width and are spaced on average 0.25 cm apart. This portion of the exterior appears to have been highly polished at some point, with significant amounts of it now abraded off, particularly between each comb incision. The spaces between each line feature a line of missing circumferential polish/slip. The oblique (4) and vertical polish lines average 0.12 cm in width and run the 2.8 cm distance between the most inferior boundary of the comb lines and the polish boundary (at the sherd edge) lower on the shoulder. The oblique lines runs upper left to lower right, to the right of the vertical line. Between the oblique lines there is an average 0.475 cm space. Polish was either never present or removed from under these polish decorations. Dense circumferential rotational striations or wipe impressions are visible on the both surfaces. In addition to the coarse sand, limited frequencies of coarse and medium sand are visible in the fabric. Moderate frequencies of inclusions perforate both surfaces. Breaks are rough.
