Locus 2 is at the same stratum as loci 3 and 4—that is, below the locus 1 (topsoil). The soil is a lighter greyish brown that is a well-sorted medium grain typical for cultural deposits located below the topsoil at SLT.
Locus 2 is located in between the two parallel sets of stone walls of SLT12. It appears to be a liminal space between the circular stone structure bounded by the wall in the northeast corner which extends into SLT9, SLT10, and SLT11; and the tentative structure that might encompass the southeast corner of SLT11, the central region of SLT12, and a bit of SLT10. The region of SLT10 and the northeast region of SLT12 that I hypothesize form a structure might just be rockfall. In that case, the NNW wall of SLT12 may extend to the wall section in the southeast corner of SLT11, appearing to compose a linear wall that runs north-by-northwest over an indeterminable extent.
NOTE: The 2 bags of bones found at this locus have been reburied.
