Remarks

Dark gray shoulder-rim sherd of what appears to have been a fairly large enclosed vessel (possibly storage?). Paste appears to have a few very course pieces of sand, but overall medium sorted course sand. The interior and exterior surface both have a few visible flecks of mica (in slip?), but none noted in paste. Lots of mineralization built up along the interior surface of the sherd. In profile, join is slightly visible between the neck and rim, supporting the idea that the rim is applied. Right end of rim (looking at exterior) appears slightly wider than opposite end of the rim -- possibly an artifact of begin applied.
