Hard packed gravelly clay floor visible in south end of western baulk in side locus 9 stone wall. This is the third of 4 visible floor layers in this part of the baulk, and this one seems to correspond to the locus 10 floor located outside the locus 9 stone wall. Thickness of floor varies from 2-5cm thick and tends to get thicker as it gets closer to locus 9 wall, but eventually gives way to a dark gray clay about 30cm away from the wall. Illustrated in profile drawing.
