Place: Ar/Ts.WSAC.22

This locus constitutes what is probably the floor in WSAC, or one floor, hopefully contemporaneous with the blocking of the 'doorway' in the partition wall between WSAC and WSAD. The matrix is a mottled, organic rich composition with splotches of orange, darker brown, tan, and grayish white, as well as a significantly large amount of small, minute pieces of charcoal. The locus was opened 7/30/10 in half of the operation, running lengthwise against the baulk, to try and see the floor in the cross section. However after one pass, the matrix has not changed and might therefore mean that its surface was not a floor. The matrix is producing a lot of ceramics and bones, and more charcoal than Locus 17 above. See notebook for sketch and elevations- given is center.
