This locus was declared and opened 4/7/11 as the brown, loose loamy soil of the northern corner area in WSAC2, extending roughly 3 meters to the west. It has a considerable number of rocks in a clump about a meter from the NW baulk and the ceramics are a mixture of LBA and Iron III. The locus is under Locus 2 and abuts Locus 7 on its SE side and Locus 8 on its SW side. It becomes more dark toward Locus 8, which is the continuation of the very dark, loose loam of the overburden. Elevation given is northern point of locus, see notebook for sketch and other points.
