This locus constitutes the continuation of a darker overburden in WSAC2, in the northern and western areas of the operation delimited by the SW wall of the room. It is more silty and less loamy than Locus 8 above it, but still too dark and not clay-y enough to be similar to the cultural fill of Locus 7 near the partition wall and in the southern corner of the room. See notebook for sketch and elevations; given is roughly center. The locus will likely include part of the wheelbarrow ramp that is still part of the SW baulk as of 6/7/11.
