This is the topsoil locus for the 3rd extension of WSDB, extending it to 7.5 m x 4 m. It extended the trench to the NW. There is a large quantity of rocks in the W corner, so although the locus is 4 m wide, in reality, it is more like 2.7 - 3.0 m wide. The soil is dark, rich, loamy, and materials are light (and appear to be both Iron III and LBA). The opening elevs are: N = new N corner (to be shot); W = new W corner (to be shot); S = new W corner from 2nd extension; E = new N corner from 2nd extension. Its closing elevs are measured from the new WSDB datum (on the SW baulk): N: 2138.115; W: 2137.715; S: 2137.575; E = 2137.935; center = 2137.795.
