The cross section of this handle looks different at its two breaks--on one side oval on the other almost semi-circular. The sherd is very small as is, and I don't want to break it in order to see the internal fabric until after Hasmik draws it. The surfaces are abraded, but it's clear that the handle was slipped and likely that it was polished.
KK 4/9/12: changed the form of this nubbed handle to 'morphic' as part of comparative project; Abramova and Medvedskaya have interpreted these protrusions to be animal horns.
