10.17.06 This is a lovely fragment of a yellowish-red burnished jug with a striking handle. The handle is vertical, connecting at the rim and the shoulder. It begins wide on either end, but about one centimeter above and below the two joins, the handle narrows with an inward step. The handle is decorated with two furrows that in effect create three vertical protrusions that run from the top to the bottom of this narrower part of the handle. There is a light bow to this more narrow part of the handle. Difficult to describe. See photo.
