10.18.06 A highly polished black rim sherd of a bowl. We have several body sherds of this vessel, but only this rim is coded. On the exterior, there are traces of the horizontal burnishing marks, while on the interior, the polishing seems to have be done with vertical and horizontal strokes, resulting in an interesting and very noticeable checkerboard pattern to the polish. It is particularly visible on some of the body sherds of the vessel.
