This locus marks the first wash level just below topsoil, in the area of the operation which is bounded by the southeast edge of the trench to the southeast and by the southeast wall of room H. The matrix is a dark brown silt. Elevations measured at center. Bottom elevation not indicated because I must have made a mistake in measuring the top elevation of locus 5, since it is higher at the center than the bottom of locus 3. Maybe I indicated the wrong datum point in the notebook.
