11.07.06 A rim to body sherd of a lovely black polished phiale. The sherd is black on the exterior but a more yellowish, grayish brown on the exterior of the neck. The interior is also this same graish brown. Checkered polishing strokes visilble on both surfaces. There are four rim sherds of this vessel which do not join, and many body sherds as well. The diameter indicated boave is the sum of all the sherds, but the dimensions are that of the largest sherd. Not taking the time to restore at this time.
