Originally coded on 11.07.06, then rechecked on the date indicated above before sending for INAA. This is a unique sherd--we have no others like it. It seems to be a tubular spout that would be shaped like an upside down L, if the orientation is as I think it is. The sherd is black burnished (in imitation of metal?). The diameter of the opening of the spout is quite small--5.55 mm, and the diameter of the spout overall is 12.41.
