This is a nearly complete jar, which was found in a nook in the bottom course of the northwest wall of locus 9. It is probably a cooking pot. The exterior color varies, with a dark gray to brownish black on most of the body and the first half of the shoulder, followed by a light brown on the top of the shoulder, and then the black resuming again on the neck and rim. There is no point in measuring the internal color of the core bands. In different areas of the pot the internal colors are quite different, with dark grays and blacks towards the bottom and light browns towards the top.
