12.13.12 A rim, neck, handle/spout sherd of an amphora with zoomorphic adornment on handle/spout. Forelegs of beast extend across and down handle, while protrusion projecting up off the rim appears to be the neck of the animal. The spout faces directly outward (as on the metal versions and Apadana depictions). Highly burnished red. Thin walled. High fired. width of handle is 21.57 (with legs) and 18.88 (without legs). Cross section of neck is curvilinear triangle. Could not measure diameter because neck protrusion is in the way.
