This sample was taken from an elevation of 2139.594, or thereabouts--in reality, we ended up sampling a handful of small charcoal pieces from the floor surface of Locus 22, in the north corner, all from very similar elevations, in order to obtain a good sample from the level of the floor. The pieces were all obtained from an area around 1.8 m from the NE edge of the trench and 4.25 m from the NW edge of the trench--essentially, between Locus 24 and Locus 20, along the NE wall. This should be a good sample, as it is fairly sizeable and from a good context.
