There is a single furrow wrapping around the shoulder of this rim to shoulder sherd and the pressure of the linear tool created a slight ridge on either side of the furrowed line. At the exterior base of the rim, it appears as though the clay "dripped" before it was fired. Perhaps this is an applied rim. The buff and rose colored sherd is highly fired. The fabric has crushed black stone, or grit, in it. Aside from this grit, the rest of the fabric has a coarse sand.
