This sherd was sent to Quality Thin Sections in April 2006. Lori and Dave will examine the thin section with SEM. It appears that this reddish buff sherd was once slipped and polished. There are slight traces of the red slip on the exterior surface. It is probably a restricted vessel, but since this is just a body sherd, I can't be certain. There are centrifugal marks on the inside, suggesting the use of a wheel.
