This small gray pot was given to me by Abraham Barseghyan, one of our workers at Aparani Berd this summer (actually, it's his son Tikran who's been working with me). The surface colors are not recorded because they are a range of light to darker grays, with darker grays predominating on the body, and lighter colors predominating on the neck. The neck is distinctively decorated with a series of five furrows. Also notable is the vertical handle, which is not quite circular, but almost trapezoidal with rounded corners. Ruben dated it to the 5th - 4th centuries. I recall seeing similar pots in Tiratsyan's publications. Will check.
