Began the day finishing up locus 02, in preparation for Hasmik's arrival tomorrow. The tops of the northwest and southwest walls are now clean. In the afternoon, we first finished excavating locus 15. The flagstone floor continues to the southwest edge of the trench, although its surface becomes a bit irregular adjacent to the wall. Also, it's now clear that the wall continues down below the level of the flagstone floor, though I don't know how far. It's seeming increasingly likely that the flagstone floor is later (post-Iron 3), perhaps corresponding with the door closures. But there are no ceramics to confirm this. In the later part of the afternoon, we began excavating locus 16, which is a medium brown silt deposit that is (big surprise) extremely rocky. Still not sign of a clay packed floor.
