Leveled off and measured loc 5 and too started loc 6 which is characterized by a light tan fluffy silt. This same soil is present on the south side of loc 4 wall, so I will begin loc 7 here. A second wall seems to be emerging from the northern baulk. This may more closely correspond to the large rectangular construction visible in the mag survey data.Recovered a small dark grey tuff mortar fragment at 100cm below datum in loc 6 (Ar/Ts.SLT8.6.L.1); point provenienced the location in the trench in my notebook. Late in the afternoon we hit the beginning of a packed clay floor flecked with bits of charcoal and obsidian. Collected enough charcoal at 114cm below datum near the western baulk for a good sample (Ar/Ts.SLT8.8.c14.1).
