Today we worked on cleaning walls better in T20 so that Hasmik can draw them, but I also took closing measurements for essentially every locus in T20, in anticipation of preparing it for final photos and backfilling. In T22, we stepped the area north of the terrace wall that bounds T20 and T22 as best we could, but as soon as the wind kicked up (which it did about midmorning), it was almost impossible to work in that spot, as the wind threw everything up onto every other place we needed to work. So we need to clean that step. But we also worked in the new loci, 34, 36, and 37, cleaning rocks and digging down. In 36, in its southern portion, we have a soil change that looks like the same bedrocky-gravelly medium-brown matrix that lay around the clay basin before we dug it down. Howeve,r we've also found the bottom of the new wall (Locus 35), so it's unclear as of yet what this new matrix means. In the central room of T22, we began the job of flattening everything to the same level, but it became clear that our focus needs first to be outside the room and we will have to clean it up tomorrow.
