Today was busy: in WSI2, we removed all the topsoil and measured the locus to close it. We found some Iron III ceramics (I think), but overall levels of material were low compared with WSN. After the guys finished in WSI2 (everyone was present), we all went to WSN and helped out there. Only about 40% of the topsoil (maybe a little more) was removed from WSN, but with everyone there tomorrow, hopefully we'll finish. I calculated that it took us 5 hours to clear an 8 x 11 m trench (ie WSI2) with 5 guys. WSN is 13 x 14, so definitely bigger, but also harder because of the slope and it has more rocks to cut around at the surface. But everyone worked well, and I'm hopeful that the season will go smoothly.
