I decided to limit Locus 500 to material cleared from the SW corner of T19, and opened Locus 501 as the material cleared from the NW corner of the T19. I drew the poshole (Locus 503) found in the NW part of Locus 500. In Locus 501, we hit a small yellow/orange clay lens 8cm below the surface, which may correspond to a similar looking level in the stratigraphy of the western section of T19 that was excavated earlier. It measured 45 cm x 50 cm and is in the SW corner of L501, running along the western edge. The southern edge of the clay lens 280 cm west of the datum.
We remeasured the trench and extended it at the NW corner to make it even (10m E/W and 9 N/S). There is a possible whole pot in L501, a little north of center. The soil east of the LBA wall running SE/NW is a darker brown, almost black, which will be Locus 502.
