Something special happened today. We forgot the black bag with the staking supplies for the TS. Ian went back to get it, because we planned to finish setting up the full first hectare for mag survey. So, I had the opportunity to make sure everybody worked until the smoking break, which I inadvertently called 10 minutes earlier through my faulty Armenian/Russian language construction. However, Hamlet bowed to me for this, which I guess was cool. Right before perikour (sp?), Gor found a nice 5in piece of a bovid femur (?), which I took out from the matrix (red pill AND blue pill, totally) right after perikour. The homies kept offering me to куришь, but I refused. I am thinking I should take one to not be a prude. Not saying that anyone who doesn't is. Anyways, after smoking break, small potsherds, bones, and pieces of obsidian kept being unearthed until we hit a dry spell. Ian came back in about an hour since departure back to Aparan, and initiated a new trench approximately 1m east of SLT9—SLT10.
At this point, Gor, Vartan, and I began mag survey of 20m x 20m grid, 2A. This was accomplised in about 45 minutes, whereafter Ian, Lori, Katie, and I took a lunch break. Ian and I decided to finish surveying the first mag survey hectare, which was done until the end of the work day. We encountered a strange issue where the TS and P would not update positional info on the DC, at around 38m x 18m. After deliberately breaking line-of-sight (LoS) between the TS and P, and finding signal again between the two components, the problem was fixed
