Trench is wet, so difficult screening today. We finished off locus 14 and locus 15. Opened a new locus (17), which covers the footprint of locus 14 and half of locus 11. Locus 17 is a continuation of the dark brown silt of locus 14, but mixed with areas of lighter sandy silt. The locus is extremely rocky, so after cleaning the stones we removed them.
Removed a floating stone against the northwest wall and, upon doing so, were able to identify the actual course of the wall a little further back.
A very large and flat stone was exposed at the bottom of locus 15. This may be a column base although, in that case, it's unusual that it would be resting on the floor rather than embedded with it.
