Keanu Reeves would totally have described today as bodacious. Work started at 9:30, with a rowdy but excellent crew comprised by the following fine fellows: Avo, Hovo, Vahe, Telman, and Zarzan. Although, the latter 3 were sent about 5 minutes after work started, because they otherwise would have been sitting around, I guess. Anycream, I created locus 4, a darker version of locus 3, and locus 5, which is the granite pile taking up nearly half of the trench. Later, locus 6 was created and joined with locus 4 after the two were levelled together..
The bodaciousness of today—as put by Mr. Reeves—stems from the fact that a mere 15 minutes of work passed before Telman found a EBA bronze pendant proximal to the westernmost extent of the granite pile. The pendant is about |__________________________| yea big, which should be something like 2.25cm long, and 1.5cm wide. It is slim and flat. It is similar to the shape of a modern heart motif. The inferior point is slightly rounded, but sleek enough such that I thought it was an arrowhead at first glance. Each of the two superior lobes is formed by a spiral terminating inwardly, leaving a small hole in the middle of the lobe. The spiral seems to have been drawn out from the inferior material and twisted, with the artisan's hand turning towards the center of the artifact. The pendant is identical on obverse and reverse sides. At the central-superior region of the pendant, between the two lobes, a loop exists, presumably for a string of some sort. Thus it's pretty darn likely this is indeed a pendant, part of a necklace.
Anyways, T29 was then extended 1m west, to be a 2x3m trench, as locus 6. All excavated matrix was screened in case components of the necklace are in the vicinity. I'll continue this entry later, cuz my battery is about to crap out.
1) shoot in extension of T29
