Today's first goal is to bring locus 6 in NE section down to level of locus 7. We can then start screening with 1/4 inch and fine mesh screen to collect bone sample from locus 7.
At the same time we're bringing down locus 1 along western balk to get a better feel for the group of stones in NW section.
Pavel decided to extend the western balk about 25cm. In the meantime, one of the workers stepped on W2 and collapsed 2 of the larger stones. Took a few minutes to put it back together.
Recovered 2 small finds in SW corner of unit in locus 3. Toward end of day we expanded NW in order to follow possible wall feature. Expansion measures 2m to north by 3m E-W. Unit now looks like Utah.
