Today we focused on clearing the architectural features in the trench, which now include a feature parallel to the northeastern wall, on the north side of Locus 20, and thus mirroring the feature on the east side of Locus 20. In addition, we found 3 column bases in a line running from the northwest wall to Locus 18, perpendicular from the southeast wall. In addition, there is a 4th feature that may be another column base, but if so, it is rather unique--it looks like a very deep mortar, but it also seems to be in the same line with the other 3 bases and so may actually be a stone post hole.
In addition, we dug Locus 22 down to the level of the floor in every area except underneath the wheelbarrow ramp, which we will remove tomorrow.
We also delineated the borders of Locus 20 and will reopen it tomorrow for photos with the floor.
