Narrative

Today we continued clearing the sod off the trench. As with yesterday, the bulk of the collected ceramics (Locus 1) came from the SW corner and were a mix of LB and EB. In the rest of the trench, material densities were very low. In the NW corner, after starting to come down through the overburden, we found a portion of a polishing stone (Ar/Ge.T19.L1.L.01).

I established three datums:
Datum 1 – A rock upslope and east of the eastern edge of the trench, roughly in the middle of the E wall of the trench
Datum 2 – A rock north of the northern edge of the trench, roughly in the middle of the northern wall
Datum 3 – A large rock in the SW corner of the trench
