Lilit on site today drawing SLT10 from last year, which Hasmik was not able to measure at the end of the season.
In SLT14, I'm continuing to bring down the southern portion of trench in locus 3. Still getting a lot of large bones.
In SLT13, the interior room space is becoming clearer as we go down in locus 2. This soil is noticeably richer and darker than in much of SLT14. Near the west wall of the room, we found a whole, small round groundstone about 5cm in diameter (Ar/Ts.SLT13.2.L.1). In the exterior space along the northern baulk (locus 3), we came down on an orange gravelly layer that may signal we've reach bedrock. The bedrock seems to peter down toward the NE corner of the operation, but we'll trace it down. This could indicate that builders were cutting into bedrock to level out the living space and building the walls against it, much as they did in SLT11 and elsewhere. In any case, the room wall appears to go down a third course at this point, and I'll designate this construction locus 4.
