Narrative

The trench was quite wet this morning, and we had worked only until early afternoon before it began to rain again. Minimal progress was made on locus 10, and still no new soil matrix is visible away from the NW and SW walls. One small charcoal sample (Ar/Ts.WSM2.10.C14.1) was collected, though since it was sitting in the wash layer it did not have a significant context. Many rocks have been further exposed by digging and by the rain, and some may belong to features on the floor, which in the NW end of the trench at least cannot be too far below. One alignment in the W corner looks particularly likely, and I may dig the next locus there to explore the possibility.
