Progress was slow today; the soil was wet and many more rocks were encountered, particularly in locus 10. I opened locus 11 on the SW wall to lower a section that had been kept high by a couple of very large rocks, which were broken today. The soil matrix in locus 10 still looks like the brown silt that was seen at the surface, but locus 11 struck the red clay at a significantly higher elevation by the SW wall.
