Began the day today finishing the leveling of L15 in T32-- our goal was to finish this pass and to clearing expose as many ceramics as possible in order to photograph them before opening another locus for an additional (and perhaps the last) pass of the trench. This process revealed a number of new, complete ceramics clustered near the wall (Ar/Ge.T32.08) and I had my workers clean this area in case there were more ceramics to expose. During this cleaning, it became clear that a clay berm existed around this cluster of ceramics and that the berm extended in a semi-circle from one clay platform (where the "magral" sits) to another (what the large storage vessel and two smaller vessels (a bottle of sorts and a bowl) are sitting. We also exposed two ceramic stands. Ruben noted that all of these (ceramic types, ceramic stands and the clay berm) and indicative of the same sort of feature that was found in the shrine and in T21 (an altar? a basin?). We spent the rest of the day drawing, cleaning and photographing this area. Tomorrow we'll take pictures again in the morning and then perhaps being a final pass which would clear the area just to the east of this new feature (L18).
