today in the morning we sectioned Locus 21 in AC1 (halfway across the trench n-s), but the context was still too wet from rain to dig cleanly or screen effectively. So I applied the workers to cleaning and turning the large basalt orthostat in the northwest corner of the caravanserai, a possible lintel. after working on this for most of the day, the stone was blank. We finished the section of Locus 21, and tomorrow if the floor in AC2 is still wet we will open a new trench in the south end of the structure.
