We started the morning by taking down Locus 26 and trying to define the boundaries of the possible pits. It turned out that one was a shallow circular depression which was noted on the plan (but not given a locus number), and the other was a result of rodent burrowing in the NE corner of the trench. Locus 22 was deeper than we first realized, and a portion of one of the beams in this locus was large enough and well-enough preserved to take for wiggle matching. I also took a C14 sample from this beam (Ar/Ge.T31.22.C14.02). Near Locus 22, we found a piece of carbonized cord at 2284.08 masl, which was collected for further analysis.
Also in the NE corner of the trench, we found two more sections of burnt beams. One of them runs parallel to the beam in Locus 22 taken as a dendro sample; the other is southwest of Locus 22 and appears to have been underneath Locus 21. Along the northern wall, we found a stone wheel (Ar/Ge.T31.26.L.01) at 2283.94 masl.
