Not much to report in WSM3 today. The operation is proving to be quite rocky, as expected given WSM2, and we've moved to the first wash level of locus 02. Meanwhile, in WSN, we continued to work in locus 48, bringing it down to the level of locus 49, i.e. just above the bottom of the floor and top of clay prep. In the course of doing so, we identified what appears to be a hearth just adjacent to the WB ramp, that is, in the western corner of the locus. It's marked by large chunks of ceramic oven pieces as well as a clay rectilinear perimeter that may continue under the WB ramp. Rather than exposing completely, I decided to cover the feature and first continue to trace out the rest of the floor to the southeast. To that end, we opened a new locus, 54, that is immediately adjacent to locus 49. We're trying to excavate this locus at a slant to capture the slant of the floor itself. Also, today I re-shot the corners of WSN and WSM2 as well as those of the new operations, WSM3 and WSAC3.
