Narrative

Had 10 workers today (3 from Jake) who finished the removal of Locus 2 in WSAC3 by mid-morning. I opened two new loci: 3 is the layer of overburden beneath Locus 2, delimited by the SW and NW walls of the room and the NE and SE baulks. The matrix is a mixture of the darker black loam and a lighter brown wash with small pebbles. Locus 4 constitutes the area of the northern corner where yesterday I noted the emergence of a lighter tannish/yellow soil near some rocks that seemed to form a gap in the NW wall of the room. I had the workers start removing Locus 3 today, with two troweling the walls and starting to clean the stones in Locus 4. By the end of the day, most of Locus 3 had been removed except for some of the wheelbarrow ramp.
