Continued working our way through screening sample of locus 3 in T02b. In morning we screened depths 222-257cm below T02 datum. ln afternoon we started at 257cm and will finish sample tomorrow morning. 2 beads, 1 paste and 1 carnelian, came out of screen from this latter partion of sample.
While excavating locus 3 in T02c, we came down on another corner at 348cm below T02 datum. This is inside the L.B. wall but about 75cm below it. The new corner is locus 9, while the dark soil inside it is locus 7. A carbon sample was taken just inside the corner at 388cm b.d. next to what looks like a L.B. rim sherd. A beam was discovered emerging from north baulk at 397cm b.d. and designated locus 8. See daily plan for provenience. Beam preservation not good enough for dendro, but recovered large sample for radiocarbon.
What this new wall is doing inside the L.B. locus 4 wall remains to be seen...
