Rest of the sod cleared. Stone surface architecture adjacent to the trench was cleared of sod to better visualize the possible architecture.
A charred twig was found. Because of its location in the topsoil stratum, it was discarded. The majority of finds continue to be potsherds, followed by obsidian, and a small amount of bones, including a sheep or goat (?) incisor. A rim sherd with two diagonal indentations on the top of the straight rim was found as well.
A casual overview of surface architecture suggests to me the gate overlooks two series of terraced spaces, the bottom-most of which opens up into what might be the main path of entry (the 'stairway' of 2008 mag survey). It seems a continuous line of stones form and demarcate both terraces in an 'S' fashion.
