Narrative

The eastern, wider portion of the T02/T02b baulk collapsed this afternoon with no casualties. We'll start cleaning up after that disaster tomorrow.

In T02c we're cleaning up locus 12 and 18 to expose the locus 12 vessel. In so doing we exposed a L.B. vessel in the eastern part of the L.B. room below level of locus 9 wall. New vessel is locus 19. This new vessel was found upsidedown at 409-424cm below T2 datum, and locus 12 vessel is at 423cm below datum. While cleaning locus 12 vessel I found a L.B. vessel right next to it, calling into question the earlier interpretation of the locus 12 vessel as E.B. This vessel will be part of locus 12. The whole level of the loci 12 and 19 vessels is a compact red layer streaked with carbon and will be considered locus 12 as well. The reddish compact soil is likely an L.B. floor located below the bottom course of locus 9 wall. Below the locus 12 floor is a tan layer that is locus 18. Cleaned and photographed floor with all three vessels and close-ups of each.
