AM. cleaned off the last remainder of AC3 locus 9 off the stone collapse and clayey pre-floor deposits. took photos to show the relative locations of the fallen ashlar facings resting on top of now-pedestaled locus 9. then removed the ashlars and cleaned again, took more photos. took a soil sample from a burnt/architectural collapse locus 15, draped on top of the trough (locus 10)-- i think this feature is continuous with a general smear of burniness and architectural destruction which drapes over the arch base, and lies above locus 9 within locus 8 (all within the general context of architectural collapse and cement-y fill). drew the stones of locus 11 (wall facings) in place, in prep for a more detailed wall drawing later. RH came and we took level photos of the northern wall for architectural drawings, TBD as soon as i return to the states. started troweling back the northern section of Locus 12 in AC2.
