Belinda briefly on site today before a trip to Gegharot. In SLT 13, we're shoveling down to the floor in the SE corner and then leveling off the rest of the operation. In so doing, we came down on a dark burned stain (not easy to spot in the damp dark soil in the operation). I'm calling this locus 9 in case further troweling reveals it to be a hearth feature. Got a good radiocarbon sample from it (Ar/Ts.SLT13.9.c14.1).
Also got a radiocarbon sample from the wheelbarrow while shoveling locus 6 just above this feature; no exact provenience, but it was below 2.86m below datum (Ar/Ts.SLT13.6.c14.7). Probably only a useful sample as a last resort, especially since the locus 9 sample is a much better context.
