Narrative

In SLT 14, we're troweling locus 9 floor to take a photo and came across two radiocarbon samples (Ar/Ts.SLT14.9.c14.1 and 2). The latter is particularly good sized. I made the weird yellow clay lump just on the NE side of the locus 11 wall a new locus (locus 10). I took a photo and some depth measurements of it, then leveled it off to the level of the locus 9 floor. I also took 4 cloth sacks of sample from the locus 10 clay blob for flotation analysis (Ar/Ts.SLT14.10.ss1 a-d), though I'm not really sure what it might contain, or if it's even cultural. I also screened it while taking it down, but it was sterile after three wheelbarrows full so I stopped screening. Possibly just a rise in the clay bedrock?
