Today Lilit started drawing the NW section of the cromlech and the western chamber. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to finish them. She will continue either tomorrow or Monday. As she worked, we started removing the small stones covering the western chamber. Underneath them are more large stones. We started taking down the NE quadrant of the kurgan, which is Locus 5. Material densities are very low and the matrix is the same as the other quadrants, a medium brown silty clay loam. In the center of the quadrant, following the line of stones in the E-W section, there is a pile of rocks appearing. Unfortunately, we lost about 2 hours today to the rain.
