New worker (Arman) brings total to 8. Continued in loci 24 and 25 topsoil. Collected fragment of small morter in locus 24 (Ar/Ts.SLT1.24.L.1). In locus 21 between locus 22 wall and fortification wall, recovered lots of bones. About 2 bags in fairly small locus.
Uncovered the likely corner of locus 22 wall under locus 13 soil. Collected an end piece of large basalt handstone (Ar/Ts.SLT1.13.L.1). A pair of vertical stones about 50cm apart abutting S face of locus 22 wall may be a hearth feature, though only a couple flecks of charcoal were noticed (not enough to collect) as were a few pieces of possibly burned bone. This feature is locus 27. Bisected soil between stones to see if an ash layer is present but seems to be all clay.
On wall stones of locus 22 wall a thin layer of sticky light gray clay w/ organic inclusions coated the stones, which Adam suggested may be prep for plastering.
